Rhonda wins...

So the future of the Peoria Jaycees has been placed in the hands of Rhonda Wise for 2006. It was a contested race for President for the first time in a couple of years. I am sure that she will do a good job and has a really positive board in place.

My friend Marcia e mailed me tonight from Ubud, Bali. JEALOUS! If you are looking for an interesting site, visit www.wheresmarcia.blogspot.com. She has been gone for one month and visited China, Macau, Hong Kong, and now Bali. Next on her trip is Thailand. I'll bet the pad thai is way better there!!! Her pics are really fantastic.

So who's eating Roast instead of Turkey for Thanksgiving to avoid the Bird Flu?

Just a thought....

Petite Sirah

Just returned home from the Wine Experience...had a great red wine by Earthquake. Very oaky and fruity but a little dry. Now I am feeling a bit lazy and fuzzy! I highly recommend the Wine Experience for those that are tired of the smokey meat market bar scene. It is a non-smoking bar full of interesting people with very diverse ideas...It is located next to Super Liquors on War Memorial Dr. Check it out! Tell them Roxy sent you.

Jaycee elections tomorrow night. Should be interesting. More to come on that subject.

Time for beddy bye...

See ya!

I'm Baaack!

So I have been reminded by my dear friend Chuck that to be a blogger means that you must post some type of info from time to time. Are ya happy now? Good...Anyway...so Greg is buying a house and I am going to decorate and live in it. We should be closing any day now...waiting, waiting, waiting! Meanwhile we are slowly packing our crap. More to come on that.

Went to a Jaycee state convention this past weekend. Drank entirely too much, had a fight with gravity/door & door jam and they won. Bruised the crap out of my left arm...bruised my pride and dignity in the process! One day I will learn to act my age!?

It finally feels like November...not that I was concerned. For all intensive purposes I would like to the weather to remain a fabulous 80 degrees and less than 50% humidity year round! Rain is one of those necessary evils. Supposedly expecting snow tonight...wouldn't that be lovely? Yuck! I HATE SNOW!

I am stalling now...I need to pack or clean or both....okay, I must go!
